Leveraging the groundbreaking 2020 & 2021 webinars (below), D3G's 2022 Symposium in Toronto harnessed a wonderful international cast of healthcare practitioners, scientists, industry reps and government professionals to address the translational paths needed to strengthen D3 science and convert it into social good. Again our unique translational 'Ideas Incubator' format was used to filter current issues and scientific knowledge to arrive at key questions and collaborative plans for future actioning. Building on the wonderfully successful 2020 Workshop (below), this follow-up webinar series introduced D3G's "research incubator" cross-learning concept whereby: (1) practitioners illustrate current issues they face; (2) scientists outline latest research capabilities and understanding; and (3) these parties together with end-translators (e.g. industry, publishers, policymakers) collaboratively "filter" the status quo (1+2) to arrive at key research questions and actionable plans.
